The cold benguala stream hugs the west coast from the Cape to the Angolean Coast. It supports a huge variety of marine life and keeps the rain out on the atlantic ocean. From Lamberts Bay to the Namibian border you could walk for another 500km along this beach and come across just a few little villages and hamlets.
